Tuk the Turtle
I haven't posted in a while so when I was looking through pics tonight I saw this and smiled. In April after it had rained a good bit, I found a tiny turtle in the backyard. I had never seen one so tiny it fit in the palm of my hand. Well of course Luke had to keep it and show all his friends. So we put it in a habitat and kept it for two days. I convinced him to let it go and one day it would be back to visit. After a tearful goodbye and painting an "L" on his back, Tuk swam very quickly to his family. About three weeks later we saw a turtle out in the yard. So Zach and I quickly painted a L with fingernail polish on his back. Not thinking about the size of the turtle we called Luke outside to see his friend "Tuk." He was so excited and just laughed and couldn't believe how big he had grown. Unfortunately, we haven't seen Tuk back in the yard since then but Luke loves for me to tell him the story of how Tuk the Turtle came to visit him.

June
It's been a while since I have written, Emma is taking her long afternoon nap and the boys are away so I thought I would sit down and catch up on June. When I think back to the last couple of weeks it seems like we have been busy but yet I can't think of where we have gone. I have been busy getting caught up on housework. It seems that from August to May my house looks like a family of 20 have lived here. Some laugh at that, but when you say that in front of an educator they know exactly what you are talking about. I have so many of the kids clothes that I need to do something with, so thats my plan the rest of the month. Zach has fixed flower beds in the front and back and the one that will take the most time I have noticed he has left for later. And yet later has been 3 weeks ago. So he has promised me that after he gets thru with the firework stand he will fix it.
Luke has big news! His first tooth is loose! He is so excited. He wakes up every morning wanting me to fill to see if it is still loose. He went to the pediatrician last week and he is 48 inches tall and weighs 55 pounds. And Dr. Everett told him the best news, he doesn't have to see him back until he is 8. Which Luke was telling him and all the nurses bye and Zach or I either had the heart to tell him that if he gets sick between then he will be back. But Luke didn't care, NO SHOTS! is all he heard and that made his day. After that we went to Cracker Barrel and had Blueberry Pancakes (my favorite) and celebrated.
Emma is blabbering away! She has really taken on a cute attitude. She will look at Zach or I and point and just blabber and then shake her head yes or no. I think she is helping us out on what we should be telling her. She has learned to open the refrigerator and pantry so that is our battle right now.
Zach is getting ready for July 4th. He is running a firework stand this year and also planning our trip to Disney World. We are going the last week in July. And the best part is my family is going also; Nana, Papa, Brian and Cade. We all are so excited and Luke and Zach are counting down the days. Zach and I went when we were married and talked about one day bringing our children and now it is really going to happen. We can't wait to see their faces when they walk into Magic Kingdom.
I have been cleaning, reading and scrapbooking. I'm trying to get caught up but when you take pictures everyday theres really no way to catch up. I will post some of my layouts later. Have a great Sunday!

Kindergarten Graduation
I can't believe that the little 7 lb. baby boy that we brought home 6 years ago has graduated from Kindergarten. I remember last year going to Pre-K how he and I both cried the first day of school. Of course I had only been home a few days from having Emma. He is so smart and intuitive. He says he wants to be scientist and find a cure for the children on the St. Jude's commercials. But he also has mentioned fireman. He is so full of life and is a loving boy.
Funny Girl
I love these pics. Emma is such a daddy's girl (at times). Of course she thinks he is so funny, but when she is hurt, tired, hungry or wet she needs mom. She is such a different child from Luke. She has both our personalities. She can be very serious and very funny. She is wild at heart and I have joked that she probably will be the first to leave home. I can already tell that she has my determination and independence. But she has Zach's funny personality. She is such a blessing to all!

Baseball Fun
I thought this was so sweet. Zach took Luke to get his first baseball glove, ball and REAL bat. Luke was so becited (thats what he use to say). We were so impressed with Luke's throw. He has such a hard throw and can bat without a T. Later that night Zach said, "We don't need a T?" So when it's not been wet, they get out into the yard and play around.
